Intrinsic Warfare : Fight For Your KINGDOM Rights!

Stand up and fight for your rights!  Kingdom rights!  But, well,  how do I fight?

INTRINSIC WARFARE.  What is intrinsic warfare? It is taking the battle within and laying siege to the enemy, refusing to give up until you win.  Fight for your life!

“Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. Resist him, steadfast in the faith..”. - 1 Peter 5: 8-9

There are so many ways in which the enemy comes for our lives.  Some are obvious, like war and hostility, repression, oppression, accidents, disasters, sickness.  Other ways are more insidious, we barely notice the war, we only feel the effects.  The devil comes after our hearts, our minds and our spirits and many times we don’t even know it.

It may show up as setbacks, losses, rejection, heartbreak, frustration or a wordless dejection, maybe even depression.  The pain of our circumstances are strategically engineered not just to break our minds, bodies and spirits, but to break our connection to God.  To break our confidence and our trust.  To take the fight out of us, then the devil has his way with us.

“Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you.” - James 4:7

There are some among us who are lion-hearted fire of God spirits, when we set our minds to resisting we go for it!  We decree and declare, we bind up and cast out, we speak God’s word with authority and fervor, we pray until it hurts.   Yet as we walk through the trenches, our fires refuse to go out and our mountains stubbornly refuse to move.  It is disheartening and so discouraging.  Where is our God?

Never mind my friend, He hears you, He knows you, He has already made a way for you and He is holding you up every step of the way.

"Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go." - Joshua 1:9

One day in spirit I was shown a spirit of infirmity.  It’s name is asthenia,  same spirit in Luke 13.  When we read this story it may seem like an abstract classification of all types of sickness.  It isn’t.  Asthenia is a specific spirit with specific manifestations and it is vicious.  If you research the medical definition of asthenia you will see it is associated with many of the most deadly sicknesses e.g. cancer, heart disease, MS etc.

I saw this spirit as a massive anaconda.  If you strapped four robust men together you would not capture it’s girth.  The thing was at least a hundred feet long just coils of muscle and scales and intimidating strength.  It did not have fangs like most snakes, but concentric circles of razor sharp teeth.  To face such a thing would freeze your heart with fear.

I tend to be fearless so I went to war!  I went up against that thing in spiritual warfare and the very physical backlash laid me out for months.  I was humbled. Timid.  Fearful.  I refused to do warfare anymore.

Then one day Spirit whispered ‘death by a thousand cuts’.  Another day ‘lay siege to the enemy’.  Another day ‘P.U.S.H!  Pray Until Something Happens’.

We are raised with a genie-in-a-bottle rub-the-magic-lamp expectation of God, but some battles are not designed to be won overnight.  God will walk you through the fire for months, years, even decades and it’s not because He’s cruel.

He knows what you will become because of it.  He knows the strength you will develop that you never had before, He knows the levels of faith you will tap into that you were never even knew were possible.  He knows the grace He will plant in you, He knows the behemoth He will raise.

“Blessed be the Lord my strength who teaches my hands to war, and my fingers to fight: My goodness, and my fortress; my high tower, and my deliverer; my shield, and He in whom I trust; who subdues my people under me.”  - Psalm 144: 1-2

Spirit gave me this scripture and I prayed, Father teach my hands to war.  Spirit whispered ‘intrinsic warfare’.

Be still dear one and know that He is GOD.  This is intrinsic warfare.  It is the minute by minute, thought by thought, challenge by challenge dogged determination to trust your God.  To depend on Him and to trust His goodness on this side of eternity.

“I would have lost heart, unless I had believed that I would see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living.” - Psalm 27:13

You don’t have to stand up in the face of a demon or give chase to the devil.  You simply have to hold your ground in God.  Tell your problem how great your God is, tell yourself.  Tell yourself that you believe in His salvation.  Tell yourself that you trust your wellbeing to Him.  Tell yourself until you believe yourself.

Fill yourself up with light to the point that your problems simply have to turn and slink away.  They have no choice, they cannot stay.

As you do this moment by moment day by day, you will be delighted to find that you are experiencing His benefits.  The fruits of the spirit, the treasures of the kingdom.  You will find yourself transformed.  Long before the mountain moves you will find peace, you will find grace, you will praise your God in a heartfelt way, because that which was crafted to destroy you, is the same thing that God has ordained to glorify you.  That you may glorify Him.

“Who redeems your life from destruction, Who crowns you with lovingkindness and tender mercies, Who satisfies your mouth with good things, so that your youth is renewed like the eagle's. The Lord executes righteousness and justice for all who are oppressed...”
- Psalm 103:4-6

Fight!  Fight for your life, fight for your family, fight for your community, fight for your territory.  Fight for your right to prosper, fight for your right to thrive.  Fight for your right to be at peace and to bear good fruit.  Fight for your right to worship and glorify your God in spirit and in truth.

We do not know it, but children of the living God, we are intrinsically built for war. Everything we need to win is inside of us, our God has already given it to us.

The entirety of this fight is inside you.  Fight for Him.  Fight for you.  Give the enemy no peace until God gives you peace.  When His peace comes upon you, you may rest in it knowing your battle is won.  It is done.

"And the peace of God, which passes understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus." - Philippians 4:7
