Vibrance Ministries: Hashtag Prayer

Sometimes when you’re In The Trenches and going Through The Fire, you just need a break from the stress. Here is a fun little prayer game to lighten your heart and inspire your faith. The HASHTAG PRAYER.

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths.” - Proverbs 3:5-6

The hashtag prayer is a prayer of imagination. The rules are simple. Take a breath and turn within. Invite Holy Spirit to guide you as you pray. Pretend you are in front of your computer and hashtags are floating on your screen. They may be simple words, phrases or sentences. Just call them out as they pop into your mind.

This game is even better if you write your hashtags down. The lists below are a good starting point, but it is really about allowing Spirit to guide you to what your heart needs to hear. Trust God with this prayer exercise. Listen to your heart, write, speak, digest, enjoy.

You may even pull out your favorite scriptures or affirmations and work them in. This exercise can keep you engaged from a few minutes to a few hours. What will happen in the meantime, is you’re not stressing about whatever is before you. #BlessinForStressin #2Blessed2Stress.
